I have a new vps (windows server 2003 64bit) but my domain name is hosting on other i want to host the domain name on my VPS account to configure the mail server for my VPS to use that domain name. I need complete help please)

Ok this is what I want to do. I want to be able to host my own web site, host games, backup my data, and be able to access my data from any where. I believe I need Microsoft Server 2008 Standard, but I’m not sure. I can build the system myself, but I have never worked with Windows Server so I’m not sure on what to get.

Well I am having a issue with virtual SMTP servers. I am trying to make it so each domain on my windows 2003 box (Virtual dedicated) has its own IP address for sending mail. I setup a virtual SMTP server for each IP and domain but when I send mail through that IP/Domain it will use the servers default IP address to relay the mail out.

Do you have any idea how to fix this so each virtual SMTP is sending with its own IP address? Or do you know of a SMTP server I can istall that will let me configure it this way?

I have a bunch of domains hosted on a windows box and some clients reqire a dedicatged IP with rDNS for sending emails.

I would like to turn a session of the familial computer to an ubuntu session to host an server (Minecraft) and play with my laptop, because I heard hosting an server with ubuntu goes well and I lag too much with more then one player while hosting and playing on the same computer. If changing ONE session of the computer would be easier from Windows 7 from my personnal laptop, I could do the opposite.

I have a FTP server running off windows 7 IIS. Is there a way for me to remotely execute applications on the FTP server computer from a different computer? For example how would I go about starting uTorrent on my desktop that’s hosting the FTP server, while I am on a laptop?

I have been trying to figure out a way to host my website from home with my server. I have a Windows 2008 Sever Ent. OS and I don’t know how to get started. I do have A Lot of experience with computers but am still learning how SERVERS work.
I have my website done. I did it on Dreamweaver CS4 but don’t know how to put it up on the World Wide Web. (WWW)

we have a windows 2003 server with RAID 5, now the problem is when am starting my server, it shows an error message like
"Windows couldn’t start, because the following file is missing/corrupt : /windows/system32/config/system,"

and i checked with RAID BOIS, there also an error message is showing like " PCA2/3 logical drive found on the host adapter. a failure predection event occured on Adapter 0.

plz help me?
