I have an idea for a review website that allows users to log in and leave there own ratings and reviews on a particular product. like Yelp trip advisor etc. I need to know if there is a particular host that would allow me to create this myself, with basic computer literacy. The host must have a rating system( stars ) and allow unlimited pages, created by users. Thanks for any help.

Instead of buying a stack of servers, why can’t I just buy a stack of hard drives? If a server is basically just a computer, then why can’t I just upgrade the system and add more drives to the computer to increase the hosting capabilities?

I’ve had a lot of problems with spam comments on a blog I have on GoDaddy’s Wordpress hosting system, and I spend ridiculous amounts of time deleting spam every day to try to find legitimate comments. Is there a blog system anyone can recommend that uses the "Captcha" system where visitors have to type characters in a box before posting to confirm that they’re actually human and not a spambot?

Hi all!
we are developing a blog hosting system as a part of our PG.
we are finished with the UI and DBs design .
I would like to know which technology we should use for DB and server programming.
can we choose mysql and jsp? we have not worked with php or asp before and so we can’t use them in a few amonut of time we have.
the system must operate on both windows and linux.
please also give me your suggestions about applications needed to be installed for programming.
thanks

Is there a script or software that will allow me to host submitted videos and images on to any page of my website? I don’t want to go to image/video hosting sites and grab their URL to post on my site. I want to have my own system to put on my website so people will be able to submit images and videos on to my website.
