I have a drupal based site. The front page is about 200kb and I have 10 trimmed topics in front page. Currently the site is hosted on a shared server. My question is how many hits or page loads per hour/minute should I have before it would be necessary to switch to a dedicated server?
My host is hostgator.

My friend told me about some antivirus with host intrusion protection system. What exactly is that, and what does it do?
Thanks,
Mike

We are familiar with various forum hosting services, especially Invision Power Board, however, we are open to other suggestions. We are looking for advanced features, and a user-friendly interface with a pleasant appearance. We would also appreciate a highly active support forum where we can inquire about forum issues as well as advertise our forum.
We need a direct web address, and not just the name of the provider.
Thank you.

I want to start a poker room review site, what’s the best way to make it profitable? How much should I put into it? What hosting, and what costs? I want to show up in google search.

Linux – Determine number of unique hosts connected to server
Normally; I would use netstat -a | grep <port number>
To see a list or to get a count of how many connections to a particular port. However, I need a bit more granular output so that I can also see the number of UNIQUE hosts connected to that port. Otherwise, the current output I am getting will show multiple connections a host may have; which doesn’t give me an accurate ‘count’ of total hosts connected.
Thanks

I was wondering which free software license i should use for my OS. I would like it so i am not held responsible for computer damage (i.e. If someone downloads my OS and their computer crashes) I also don’t want my parents (Owns hosting) to be held responsible for anything on the site. Thanks so much.

I want to create a 5 star rating system for my site. I am using dreamweaver cs3 to help make my site. For now my current host is a free geocities account. I need like either a step by step guide or a guide on where to place code that is given. Thanks!
